2nd November 1915, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 6th November 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 30th December 1915, forfeits 6 days pay for absence; 7th February 1916, forfeits 10 days pay for absence; 24th February 1916, posted BEF & 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 15th March 1916, wounded, gun shot wounds, both thighs; 9th April 1916, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 10th April 1916 to 26th May 1917, War Hospital, Bradford, gun shot wounds both legs.
26th May 1917, discharged as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds. Silver War Badge issued
Pension, 27/6 a week for 26 weeks, conditional.
