Born Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, son of James and Mary Jane Barratt, of 134, Hills Road, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.

Enlisted Tonbridge, Kent, age 21, height 5ft 11½ inches. Formerly servant.

Home 1st September 1914 to 31st May 1915; BEF 1st June 1915 to 14th October 1915.

1st September 1914, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 4th September 1914, posted 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 14th October 1915, posted missing.

7th June 1919, Statement of Relatives - Father, James Barratt,  134, Hills Road, Cambridge; Mother, Mary Jane Barratt, 134, Hills Road, Cambridge; Brothers - William Barratt, age 29, 27 James Street, Rugby; Frederick Charles Barratt, age 24, 27 James Street, Rugby.

Commemorated at Loos Memorial, Panel 95 to 97, Pas de Calais, France.

NOTE: CWGC web site show name as BARRATT but Regimental History & Soldiers Died in the Great War have it as BARRETT
