20th June 1914, East Farleigh, Kent, married Maud Merritt, spinster, St Helens Corner, East Farleigh, Kent.

Children - Albert Thomas Cox, born 1st November 1914, East Farleigh, Kent; Marie Ethel Maud Cox, born 1st September 1917, East Farleigh, Kent.

Enlisted Maidstone Kent, age 31, height 5ft 2½ inches, weight 105lbs.  Resided St Helens Corner, East Farleigh, Kent. Formerly horseman.

11th December 1915 to 2nd May 1916; BEF France, 3rd May 1916 to 20th September 1916; Home, 21st September 1916 to 15th March 1917; BEF, 16th March 1917 to 21st March 1918.

11th December 1915, enlisted, posted Depot Royal West Kent Regiment; 11th December 1915, posted 10th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 12th December 1915, to Army Reserve; 15th December 1915, mobilized; 3rd may 1916, posted BEF; 19th September 1916, wounded, gun shot wound left arm; 21st September 1916, to England, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 21st September 1916, General Hospital, Cardiff; 6th November 1916, discharged Western Relief Hospital; 23rd February 1917, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 16th March 1917, posted 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 21st March 1918, posted missing.

1st December 1918, date when Separation Allowance of 24/6 a week will cease.

2nd December 1918, pension awarded of 25/5 per week to widow and two children.

Commemorated at Pozieres Memorial,  Panel 58 and 59, Somme France and at Parish Church of St. Mary, East Farleigh, Kent.
