1st March 1916, enlisted into 2/5 Suffolk Yeomanry, 2533; 12th August 1916, Halton Camp West, overstaying his pass from midnight 12th August till midnight 14th August, 11 days confined to Barracks, forfeits 2 days pay; 27th August 1916, posted 1/4 Suffolk Regiment; 27th August 1916, embarked Folkestone; 27th August 1916, disembarked Boulogne; 28th August 1916, arrived 15 Infantry Base Depot; 7th September 1916, transferred to 4th Reserve Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment, posted 7th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 14th November 1916, 3 General Hospital, died of wounds.
