Home, 13th November 1911 to 13th August 1914; BEF, 14th August 1914 to 15th December 1918; Home, 16th December 1918 to 14th March 1919.
13th November 1911, enlisted & posted 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 16th November 1911, joined Unit at Dublin; 26th September 1913, in Civil Custody; 27th September 1913, sentenced to 3 months, (to 26th December 1913), imprisonment with hard labour for assaulting the Civil Police; 13th December 1913, sentenced remitted for good conduct, to duty; 26th August 1914, wounded, back; 16th December 1918, POW?, repatriated & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment.
14th March 1919, discharged as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds. Silver War Badge issued.
Pension, 11/- a week from 15th March 1919, to be reviewed in 52 weeks, conditional. Disability, gun shot wound, right shoulder, prevents 40%.
