9th November 1915, enlisted Lewisham, posted 11th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 2nd May 1916, Southampton, embarked; 3rd May 1916 Havre, disembarked; 30th June 1916, Headquarters 41st Division, employed with Salvage Company.
