Private Robert John NASH, G/4771, 1st  Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, died of wounds received in action, 8 Field Ambulance, Flanders France, 27th September  1917, age 24.

Born Crayford, Kent, enlisted 30th November 1914, Bromley, Kent, age 21, height 5ft 4 inches, weight 128lbs, resided 11 Park Road, Bexley Heath, Kent. Formerly engineer.

Son of Robert J.(deceased) and E. Nash, of 14 Woolwich Road, Bexley Heath, Kent; Mrs E Nash, 11 Royal Oak Road, Bexley Heath, Kent.

3rd April 1915, Fort Darland, When on Active Service, overstaying his pass from Tattoo to Tattoo on 4th inst, awarded 10 days Field Punishment No.2. for absence, forfeits 2 days pay; 30th March 1916, Fort Darland, When on Active Service, improper conduct on parade, 7 days confined to Barracks.

Postings - Home, 30th November 1914 to 6th April 1915; BEF, 7th April 1915 to 11th June 1915; Home 12th June 1915 to 13th April 1916; BEF, 14th April 1916 to 27th September  1917.

Buried at Brandhoek New Military Cemetery No.3., I. J. 3., Belgium.
