Enlisted Warley, Essex, age 23, height 5ft 8¼ inches, weight 198¾lbs, no distinctive marks.  Resided Basin Tavern, Tilbury, Essex. Formerly Cellarman.

Home 3rd December 1914 to 6th April 1915; BEF 7th April 1915 to 5th May 1915.

3rd December 1914, enlisted; 4th December 1914, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 16th December 1914, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 7th April 1915, posted BEF & 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 5th May 1915, posted missing.

Commemorated at Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 45 and 47,  Ieper, West-Vlaanderen,  Belgium.
