9th June 1915, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 12th June 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 14th December 1915, posted 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment & BEF; 9th July 1916, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment.

14th September 1917, discharged  as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds. Silver War Badge issued.  

Pension, 27/6 a week for 9 weeks, then 13/9 a week. Disability, gun shot wounds, amputated left leg in upper third

Died 1941, December Quarter, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
