11th December 1915, enlisted; 12th December 1915, to Army Reserve; 8th February 1916, mobilized & posted 10th Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment, Service No.26235; 1st September 1916, transferred to 27th Training Reserve Battalion, Service No.TR/9/8345; 21st September 1916, transferred to 1st Battalion,  Royal West Kent Regiment, embarked / disembarked; 23rd November 1916, joined Battalion, "C" Company; 13th May 1917, 7 days Field Punishment No.2.; 1st September 1917, deprived of 5 days pay.
