Born St Lukes, London, enlisted 9th November 1914, Holborn, London, age 34, height 5ft 3 inches, weight 142lbs, resided 4 Payne St, Islington, N.  Formerly casual labourer.

Husband of Annie Carr (married a soldier in Suffolk Regiment), formerly Wilson (nee Heuderbourok), 42 Payne St, Islington, N. Married 18th March 1895, St Pauls, Clerkenwell.

Children - Catherine Nixon, born 18th February 1901; Rose Emma Nixon, born 8th September 1905; Joseph Richard Nixon, 22nd April 1908; Samuel William Nixon, born 2nd July 1910; William Nixon, born 19th June 1912; Charles Nixon, born 6th December 1914.

Previously served in Royal West Kent Regiment, Militia, 1904. 6 years.

Postings - Home, 9th November 1914 to 10th March 1915; BEF, 11th March 1915 to 20th July 1916.

Commemorated at Thiepval Memorial, Pier & Face 11C, France.
