Born Westminster, London, enlisted 8th September 1914, Town Hall, Waltham Green, London, age 34, height 5ft 8 inches, weight 159lbs. Formerly market porter.

Husband of Mrs Rosina Le Bean (nee Sheeham), 3 Block Ward, Chelsea Workhouse, Chelsea, SW. Married 4th August 1890, St Simons Church, Chelsea.

Child - Frederick  Le Bean, born 26th November 1902, Chelsea.

Postings - Home, 8th September 1914 to 24th December 1914; BEF, 25th December 1914 to 18th April 1915.

Pension of ?? a week from 24th January 1916 awarded.

Commemorated at Ypres (Menin Gate)  Memorial, Panel 45 and 47, Belgium.

NOTE: 20th September 1915, body dug up in trench 39, Hill 60, reported 28th September 1915, 1st/5th North Staffs.

In pursuance of "The Regimental Debts Act, 1893," notice is hereby given that there is available for distribution amongst the Next of Kin or others entitled the sum of money set opposite to the name of each of the deceased Soldiers named in the lists which are published with this notice in the London Gazette and the " Army List," and are also to be seen at the Regimental Depots throughout the United Kingdom.

Applications from persons supposing themselves entitled as Next of Kin should be addressed by letter to '•' The Secretary, War Office, Park Buildings, St. James's Park, London, S.W.," and marked outside " Effects."
