Slight defects but not sufficient to cause rejection, 15lbs underweight, tendency to slight lateral curvature of the spine. Formerly page boy.

25th March 1914, enlisted & posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 13th May 1914, 3rd Class Certificate of Education; 8th August 1914, mobilized; 15th September 1914, deprived 6 days pay, forfeits 3 days pay, by Commanding Officer,  for "Absence"; 12th October to 20th October, absent; 21st October 1914, awarded  28 days Field Punishment No.2. for absence; 23rd February 1915 to 26th March 1915, Fort Pitt Hospital, Chatham, septic ulcer, left leg; 19th April 1916, posted BEF & 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment & embarked; 20th April 1916, joined Battalion In the Field; 3rd July 1916, posted missing.
