25th May 1915, enlisted & posted 3/4th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 3rd June 1915, posted 2/4th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 23rd June 1915, posted 36/4th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.

5th October 1916, Medical Board - medically unfit, epileptic fits, origin childhood, not caused or aggravated by Military Service. Permanent, prevents ¼.

19th October 1916, discharged as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to sickness. Silver War Badge issued

Rejected for Pension.
