Enlisted 9th December 1915, Gravesend, Kent, age 26, height 5ft 6 inches, resided New Barn Road, Longfield, Kent / 32 Earl Street, Maidstone, Kent. Formerly munitions worker.

Son of Mrs Lucy French, New Barn Road, Longfield, Kent / 365 Luton Road, Chatham, Kent.

Home, 9th December 1915 to 24th December 1916; India, MEF, 25th December 1916 to 14th August 1918; En Route to India, 15th August 1918 to 20th August 1918; India, 21st August 1918 to 9th January 1919; En Route to UK, 10th January 1919 to 25th March 1919; Home, 26th March 1919 to 18th September 1919.

9th December 1915, enlisted; 10th December 1915 to Army Reserve; 27th October 1916, from Army Reserve; 29th October 1916, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 25th December 1916, posted India; 9th March 1917, posted 2nd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 15th August 1918, invalided to India; 21st August 1918, posted 2nd Battalion Reserves, Royal West Kent Regiment.

1st January 1919, Deslali, Medical Report - Originated October 1918, Deslali, while in convalescent Depot, he noticed a rash on his hands which spread and gradually appeared on his chest. He was treated as a convalescent patient for 14 days but there was there was no improvement & he was admitted to hospital & isolated. He was found to have an obstinate dermatitis which has persisted in spite of treatment. Condition is due to ordinary service in the tropics. Fit subject for return to England.

16th March 1919, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 3rd April to 12th April 1919, furlough.

18th September 1919, discharged as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to sickness. Silver War Badge issued

Disability 30%, rheumatic fever, caused by Active Service. Pension 12/- a week from 19th September 1919 to 21st September 1920, conditional.
