8th September 1914, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 12th September 1914, posted 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 6th June 1915, Shoreham, overstaying his pass from midnight till 11.45pm 7th June, 4 days confined to Barracks, forfeits 1 days pay; 6th August 1915, Blackdown, absent from 10.00pm until 10.00pm on 8th August, deprived of 3 days pay, 9 days confined to Barracks, forfeits 3 days pay; 30th August 1915, posted BEF & embarked; 26th September 1915, posted missing.
14th April 1915, Wandsworth, married Charlotte Elizabeth Dainton, spinster, 24 Victoria Road, Mortlake, Surrey. Married .
26th April 1903, Richmond, Surrey, child, Amy Dainton.
24th July 1916, pension of 15/- a week awarded to wife, ( Mrs C E Fisher, 24 Victoria Road, Mortlake, Surrey), and one child.
Commemorated at Arras Memorial, Bay 7, Pas de Calais, France.
NOTE: CWGC show date of death as 26th September 1916. I have advised them that this is incorrect and have sent a copy of the Service documents which shows how the confusion arose. They have told me to provide all relevant documentation, together with copies of his birth, marriage and death certificates, all showing a connection to the war casualty, before they even consider changing any records. I will not be doing this.
