Child - John William Frankforth Bailey, born 18th January 1906, Sevenoaks, Kent.
Previously served 12 years in Royal West Kent Regiment.
Home, 31st August 1914 to 31st May 1915; BEF, 1st June 1915 to 16th October 1915; Home, 17th October 1915 to 22nd July 1916.
31st August 1914, posted Depot; 2nd September 1914, posted 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 12th October 1915, wounded, gun shot wound, back, amputated left leg; 17th October 1915, posted Depot.
22nd July 1916, discharged as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds. Silver War Badge issued.
