Lance Corporal  Henry George William ROBERTS, G/9705, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment.

Enlisted 24th August 1915, Lewisham, age 19, height 5ft 6 inches, resided 131 Perry Rise, Forest Hill SE. Formerly billiard marker.

Son of Emily Florence Roberts, 131 Perry Rise, Forest Hill SE.

22nd March 1917, appointed unpaid Lance Corporal; 13th September 1917, Northern General Hospital Lincoln (admitted 29th June 1917), furlough from 14th September 1917 to pending; 12th June 1918, Medical Board decided no longer physically fit for war service and sent home awaiting discharge.

3rd July 1918, discharged  as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds Silver War Badge issued.

Pension of 27/6 a week for 9 weeks from 4th July 1918, then 19/3 for life.

His Majesty the KING has been graciously pleased to approve of the award of the Military Medal for bravery in the Field to the under mentioned Warrant Officers, Non-commissioned Officers and Men:
