Private Henry George SESSIONS, G/11640, Depot, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, died of extravasation of urine & urethral stricture at Royal Herbert Hospital, Woolwich, 4th January 1916.

Born Longford / Lanyard, Gloucestershire, son of Henry & Sarah Jane Sessions, 29 Mexfield Road, East Putney SW.

Enlisted Woolwich, Kent, age 53 years & 46 days, height 5ft 6 inches, weight 146lbs, deformity of left leg due to old injury, teeth deficient. Resided 29 Morfield Road, East Putney SW. Formerly commercial clerk.

Home, 19th December 1915 to 4th January 1916.

19th December 1915, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 29th December 1915 to 4th January 1916, Royal Herbert Hospital, Woolwich, admitted with extravasation of urine, penis abnormally swollen and black, tube put into bladder, developed bronchitis on 2nd day after operation, which gradually got worse and caused heart failure. Death 4/1/16. Result of operation in itself satisfactory. Died of extravasation of urine & urethral stricture.

8th December 1916, Sarah Jane Sessions deceased, next of kin (brother), John Griffiths Sessions.

Buried at Greenwich Cemetery, London, Screen Wall. 3 "C." A. 105.

SOLDIERS' BALANCES UNDISPOSED OF.

In pursuance of "The Regimental Debts Act, 1893," notice is hereby given that there is available for distribution amongst the Next of Kin or others entitled the sum of money set opposite to the name of each of the deceased Soldiers named in the lists which are published with this notice in the London Gazette and the "Army List," and are also to be seen at the Regimental Depots throughout the United Kingdom.

Applications from persons supposing themselves entitled as Next of Kin should be addressed by letter to "The Secretary, War Office, Park Buildings, St. James's Park, London, S.W.," and marked outside "Effects."
