Born Norwich, Norfolk.

Served in Royal West Kent Special Reserve, attained 3rd Class Certificate of Education.

Brothers, Arthur Edwin & Walter William.

Enlisted  Maidstone, Kent, age 17 years & 8 months, height 5ft 5 inches, weight 111lbs, fresh complexion, brown eyes, brown hair. Formerly barman.

Home 6th February 1909 to 9th November 1911; 10th November 1911 to 31st January 1915; Indian Expeditionary Force "D", 1st February 1915 to 22nd March 1916.

6th February 1909, enlisted; 22nd February 1909, posted; 6th June 1909. attained age of 18; 10th November 1911, posted.

Buried at  Kut War Cemetery,  J.4.,  Iraq.

In pursuance of "The Regimental Debts Act, 1893," notice is hereby given that there is available for distribution amongst the Next of Kin or others entitled the sum of money set opposite to the name of each of the deceased Soldiers named in the lists which are published with this notice in the London Gazette and the "Army List," and are also to be seen at the Regimental Depots throughout the United Kingdom.

Applications from persons supposing themselves entitled as Next of Kin should be addressed by letter to "The Secretary, War Office, Park Buildings, St. James's Park, London, S.W.," and marked outside "Effects."
