Private Harry Balkwill LACY, G/10732, 8th   Battalion,  Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, died of wounds, (gun shot wound to thigh), Flanders, France, 14th August 1916.

Born Chelsea, London, SW, enlisted 8th November 1915, Fulham, SW, age 24, height 5ft 3 inches, 132lbs, resided 2B Hazelburn Road, Fulham, SW. Formerly boiler cleaner.

Son of Catherine B Lacy.

Husband of Violet Sophia Lacy (nee Stevens), 138 Halford Road, North End Road, Fulham, SW6. Married 4th July 1913, Lambeth Register Office.

Children - Gladys Violet Ethel Lacy, born 13th January 1914, Lambeth; Lily Catherine Emma Lacy, born 20th November 1915, Fulham.

4th April 1916, awarded 10 days Field Punishment No.2. for absence.

16th June 1916, posted BEF.
