13th August 1915, enlisted, 3/5th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 20th October 1915, Application for Discharge of a Recruit as not likely to become an Efficient Soldier, rheumatism, has been unable to do duty for 6 weeks. This man has never been able to do more than light duty all the time he has been here. His mental development is very poor. He was transferred from Imperial to Home Service in Royal Warwickshire Regiment and fraudulently enlisted in this Battalion for this reason.
12th November 1915, discharged as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to sickness Silver War Badge issued.
