Born Little Munden, Hertfordshire, son of George and Alice Ginn, of Fox Cottage, Green Street Green, Orpington, Kent / Cacketts Lane, Cudham, Kent.

Parents - 1911 Census - 4 Brewery Cottages, Green Street Green, Orpington, Kent- George Ginn, head, age 47, married, farm labourer, born Little Munden, Hertfordshire; Alice Ginn, wife, age 42, married 22 years, 2 children, both still alive, born Little Munden, Hertfordshire.


Sister - Rose Eleanor Ginn, 35 Great Elms Road, Bromley, Kent.

Enlisted Maidstone, Kent, age 17 years 6 months, height 5ft 6 inches, 124lbs, deformity extremity right thumb.  Resided Sevenoaks, Kent. Formerly garden boy.

9th January 1911, enlisted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment, Service No.8212; 11th April 1911, 3rd Class Certificate of Education; 21st August 1911, to Regular Army, age 18 years 1 month, height 5ft 6½ inches, weight 130lbs, Service No.9665; 7th April 1913 to 21st April 1913, King George V Hospital, Dublin, dyspepsia, probably due to errors in diet.

23rd August 1914, posted BEF.

Commemorated at Le Touret Memorial, Panel 30 & 31, France.
