4th September 1914, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 4th September 1914, posted 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; July 1916, wounded; 6th July 1916, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment;
9th March 1917, discharged as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds. Silver War Badge issued
Pension of 12/6 a week conditional.
