Enlisted  Sevenoaks, Kent, age 18, height 5ft 5 inches, weight 140lbs, resided The Limes, Blindley Heath, Godstone, Surrey. Formerly harness maker.

Home 10th February 1916 to 15th June 1916; BEF 16th June 1916 to 7th October 1916.

10th February 1916, enlisted; 17th February 1916, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 19th February 1916, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 16th June 1916, posted BEF & 7th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 16th June 1916, embarked; 17th June 1916, arrived 18 Infantry Base Depot, Etaples; 18th July 1916, Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment, Rouen; 21st July 1916, 40 Infantry Base Depot, Etaples, arrived from Front, underage; 1st August 1916, posted to 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 3rd August 1916, joined 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment, in the Field.

Commemorated at Thiepval Memorial, Pier and Face 11C, Somme, France.

SOLDIERS' BALANCES UNDISPOSED OF.

In pursuance of "The Regimental Debts Act, 1893," notice is hereby given that there is available for distribution amongst the Next of Kin or others entitled the sum of money set opposite to the name of each of the deceased Soldiers named in the lists which are published with this notice in the London Gazette and the "Army List," and are also to be seen at' the Regimental Depots throughout the United Kingdom.

Applications from persons supposing themselves entitled as Next of Kin should be addressed by letter to "The Secretary, War Office, Imperial Institute, South Kensington, London, S.W. 7," and marked outside "Effects."
