Private Frederick SIBLEY, G/14956, 6th Battalion,  Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, killed in action, Flanders France, 9th April 1917.

Born Wandsworth, Surrey, son of Walter Sibley, 27 Craven Street, Conway Street, Birkenhead, Cheshire / 22 New Chester Road, New Ferry Cheshire.

Enlisted Maidstone, Kent, age 18 years & 126 days, height 5ft 2¼ inches, weight 108lbs.  Resided Greybury Farm, Marsh Green, Edenbridge, Kent / Moore Cottages, Edenbridge, Kent. Formerly farm labourer.

Home 8th December 1915 to 12th September 1916; BEF 13th September 1916 to 9th April 1917.

8th May 1915, enlisted; 9th December 1915, to Army Reserve; 10th May 1916, mobilized; 10th May 1916, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 6th August 1916, Shoreham, overstaying his pass from midnight until 10.20am 7th August 1916, admonished, forfeits one days pay; 13th September 1916, posted BEF; 13th September 1916, embarked; 29th September 1916, joined Battalion in the Field; 12th October 1916, attached XV Corps, Lewis Gun School; 25th October 1916, rejoined Battalion, In the Field.

Buried at Feuchy Chapel British Cemetery, III. I. 15., Wancourt, France.
