9th December 1915, enlisted; 10th December 1915 to Army Reserve; 17th March 1917, mobilized & posted 4th Battalion, Yorks & Lancs Regiment, Service No.204475; 27th May 1917, Clipstone, overstaying leave from 11.30pm until 9.00am 28th May 1917, admonished; 21st July 1917, transferred to 3/4th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment, posted 7th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.

Commemorated at Tyne Cot Memorial, Panel 106 to 108, Belgium.
