14th April 1917, Called up for Service; 18th April 1917, posted 10th Battalion, Training Reserve; 10th November 1917, Newhaven, transferred to 3rd Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment, G/24400; 8th January 1918, Woolwich, failed trade test; 29th January 1918, embarked; 29th January 1918, Etaples; 31st January 1918, transferred to 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 24th February 1918, joined Battalion; 25th March 1918, posted, missing; 4th July 1918, officially accepted as died of bronchitis / influenza as a Prisoner of War in Hospital at Haumomt.
