Born Winchfield, Hampshire, son of Luke and Elizabeth Freeman, of Butchers Lane, Mereworth, Kent.

Enlisted Maidstone, Kent, age 31 years & 151 days, height 5ft 5¼ inches, weight 161lbs.  Resided High Street, Yalding, Kent. Formerly butcher.
