Born, Northfleet, Gravesend, Kent, son of George and Annie Susan Crust, of 14, Taunton Road, Northfleet, Kent.

10th September 1914, enlisted Gravesend, Kent, age 19 years & 167 days, height 5ft 5¼, weight 1419lbs, dark complexion, brown eyes, dark brown hair, scar back of left hand.

Home 10th September 1914 to 29th August 1915; BEF 30th August 1915 to 8th February 1916.

14th July 1919, Statement of relatives - Father, George Crust, 14, Taunton Road, Northfleet, Kent; Mother, Annie Susan Crust, 14, Taunton Road, Northfleet, Kent; Sister - Beatrice Annie Crust, age 18, 14, Taunton Road, Northfleet, Kent.

Commemorated at  Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 45 and 47., Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.

NOTE: Soldiers Died in the Great War show first name as Frank; CWGC web site show them as Francis Claud
