Enlisted  Bromley, Kent, age 30 years & 7 months, height 5ft 2 inches. Resided 1 Midhope Buildings, Cromer Street, Kings Cross, London. Formerly barman. 

Home 15th November 1915 to 14th April 1916; BEF 15th April 1916 to 7th July 1916; Home 8th July 1916 to 6th March 1917; BEF 7th March 1917 to 3rd May 1917.

15th November 1915, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 23rd November 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 15th April 1916, posted BEF, embarked, & posted 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 3rd July 1916, wounded, shell wound to face, right eye, and multiple contusions; 7th July 1916, transferred to England, Hospital Ship Denis; 8th July 1916 to 30th October 1916, London General Hospital, Denmark Hill,  gun shot wound to face, struck in forehead, above right eye, small patch of choroidites in macula, vertical tear in upper part of cornea, wound on face healed after treatment; 28th December 1916, provided with spectacles and case; 13th December 1916 to 5th March 1917, Eastern Command Depot, Shoreham by Sea, gun shot wound, complains of dimness of vision of right eye; 6th March 1917, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 7th March 1917, posted 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 9th March 1917, embarked; 18th April 1917, joined Battalion, "A" Company; 3rd May 1917, posted missing.

20th August 1919, Statement of Relatives, completed by Brother,  Patrick Comerford, 152 Cannon Street, Commercial Road, London / - Mother, Elizabeth Comerford, 152 Cannon Street, Commercial Road, London. (deceased in 1918?)

17th March 1920, Revised Statement of Relatives completed by nephew William Francis Comerford, sole living relative of 74 Bromley Street, Stepney, London, E1 as of 25th March 1920,  62 Boulcott Street, Commercial Road, Stepney, E1

19th March 1920, only brother, Patrick Comerford now living at 3BK, 227 Cheapside, Birmingham. Deceased?

22nd September 1921, Patrick Comerford signed for British War & Victory Medals.

Buried at Cagnicourt British Cemetery, III. D. 7., Pas de Calais, France.
