18th November 1915, enlisted; 19th November 1915, to Army Reserve; 30th May 1916, mobilized; 31st May 1916, joined Battalion at Chichester, Sussex; 1st June 1916, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment, Service No.12157; 25th September 1916, embarked, 2nd Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment; 26th September 1916, Etaples, 40 Infantry Base Depot; 8th October 1916, transferred to 7th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.

11th November 1917, date when Separation Allowance of 21/- a week and Allotment of Pay of 3/6 a week will cease.

12th November 1917, pension of 22/11 a week awarded to widow & two children.

18th April 1922, widow living at St Denys, 28 Jevington Gardens, Eastbourne, Sussex.

Buried at  Warlincourt Halte British Cemetery, X. F. 9., Saulty, France. Commemorated Eastbourne Roll of Honour
