Private Edward FRANKIS, G/5842, 6th  Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, killed in action,  Flanders France,  3rd October 1915, age 45. 

Born Hackney, Middlesex, enlisted 2nd March 1915, Southwark Town Hall, SE, age 38, height 5ft 8 inches, weight 155lbs, resided 10 Vaughan Place, Old Kent Road, London, SE. Formerly wood turner.

Son of the late Robert and Sapphire Frankis.

Husband of the late Florence Louise Frankis (nee Willmore), 10 Vaughan Place, Old Kent Road, London, SE. Married 29th March 1891, All Saints Church, Newington. April 1920 at 64 Ruby Street, Old Kent Road, London, SE. Died 16th December 1920.

Children -  James William Frankis, born 1900, Deptford;  Elizabeth Alice Frankis, born 13th April 1906, Camberwell; Priscilla Mary Frankis, born 31st July 1909, Camberwell.

16th June 1916, pension of 25/6 a week awarded to widow and three children.

30th June 1921, eldest daughter, Elizabeth Alice Frankis, now Mrs E A Rousselle and receiving a pension of 23/- a week for the children. Living at 64 Ruby Street, Old Kent Road, London, SE. Next of Kin (brother), James William Frankis, Gnr. "C" Battery, RHA,  Wellington Lines, Aldershot

Commemorated at  Loos Memorial, Panel 95 to 97, Pas de Calais, France.
