Private Edward FAUTLY, G/14752, 6th  Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, died of shrapnel wounds, (face & left hand), 41 Casualty Clearing Station, Flanders France, 14th May 1917, age 31. 

Born Beckley, Sussex, enlisted 22nd November 1915, Hawkhurst, Kent, age 29, height 5ft 3 inches, weight 111lbs, resided Wrens Nest, Hawkhurst, Kent. Formerly farm labourer.

Son of John & Kate Fautly, of Nightingale Cottage, Conghurst Road, Hawkhurst, Kent.

Postings  - Home, 22nd November 1915 to 12th September 1916; BEF, 13th September 1916 to 14th May 1917.

Wounded 13th May 1917, shrapnel wound face and left hand.

Buried at  Duisans British Cemetery, IV. G. 6., Etrun, Pas de Calais, France.
