1911 Census - Seisdon, nr Wolverhampton - Edward Cresswell, head, age 44, married, carrier & farmer, born Trysull, Staffordshire; Annie Cresswell, wife, age 41, married 19 years, 3 children, all still alive, born Penn, Staffordshire; Lilian Cresswell, daughter, age 18, single, student teaching profession, born Trysull, Sraffordshire; Ernest Cresswell, son, age 15, single, working on farm, born Seisdon, Staffordshire; Harry Cresswell, son, age 13, school, born Seisdon, Staffordshire.

Enlisted Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, age 21, height 5ft 9 inches, weight 150lbs. Resided Beechurst Farm, Seisdon, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire. Formerky farm hand.

Home 14th January 1916 to 11th October 1917; BEF 12th October 1917 to 9th November 1917.

14th January 1916, enlisted; 15th January 1916, to Army Reserve; 10th April 1917, mobilized; 12th April 1917, joined No.3 Depot, General Service Cavalry, 33696; 14th April 1917, posted 3rd Reserve Regiment; 25th August 1917, transferred to 5th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers, 59238; 20th September 1917, Dover, having a rusty bayonet at CO's inspection, 2 days confined to Barracks; 12th October 1917, posted BEF; 13th October 1917, posted 2nd Battalion, Royal Fusiliers; 14th October 1917, 39 Infantry Base Depot, Etaples, transferred to Royal West Kent Regiment; 16th October 1917, joined Battalion; 26th October 1917, wounded, dun shot wound, head & right hand.

8th October 1920, Statement of Relatives - Father, Edward Cresswell, Seisdon, Wolverhampton; Mother, Annie Cresswell, Seisdon, Wolverhampton; Brother - Harry Cresswell, age 23, 12? Dolland Street, Manchester; Sister - Lilian Maria? Cresswell, age 27, Seisdon, Wolverhampton.

Buried at  Etaples Military Cemetery, XXX. K. 15A., Pas de Calais, France.
