Enlisted Canterbury, Kent, age 36 years & 295 days, height 5ft 10 inches, weight 140lbs. Formerly fruit foreman.

20th February 1917, mobilized, called up for service; 22nd February 1917, posted 5th, Middlesex Regiment, Service No. 24795; 5th May 1917, posted BEF, 18th Middlesex Regiment; 22nd May 1917, 41 Infantry Base Depot, transferred to 11th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 1st August 1917, wounded; 4th August 1917, 22 General Hospital, Camieres, gun shot wound arm, right, mild; 24th August 1917, 40 Infantry Base Depot; 2nd September 1917, rejoined Battalion; 13th November 1917, with Battalion, to Italy; 16th March 1918, posted 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 23rd March 1918, joined 6th Battalion, In the Field.

20th October 1918, date to which Separation Allowance of 28/- a week will cease to be paid to widow.

21st October 1918, pension of 29/7 a week awarded to widow & three chidren.
