Born 5th January 1879, enlisted 5th January 1915, Richmond, Surrey, age 36, height 5ft 7 inches, resided Wardrobe Court, Richmond, Surrey.

Son of George Bennett, 61 Colobath Street, Greenwich.

Enlisted 5th January 1915; 12th January 1915, joined at Maidstone, Kent, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 16th January 1915, posted 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 29th September 1915, wounded, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 21st December 1915, posted 9th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 8th March 1916, posted 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment & BEF; 19th December 1916, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 29th May 1917, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 16th June 1917, posted BEF & 7th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 4th July 1917, posted 10th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 16th August 1917, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment.

23rd November 1917, discharged  as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds.  Silver War Badge issued
