Son of Charles Brooke, 15 Kent Rd, West Wickham, Kent.

Home, 18th March 1915 to 30th September 1915; BEF, 1st October 1915.

18th March 1915, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 27th March 1915, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 1st October 1915, posted 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment & BEF; 14th January 1916?, seriously wounded; 25th May 1917, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.

24th August 1917, discharged  as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds. Silver War Badge issued

Pension, 13/9 a week to be reviewed in 52 weeks, gun shot wound, right thigh.
