Private David LOWE, 254, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment.

Born Deptford, Kent, enlisted 21st August 1914, Bromley, age 19, height 5ft 8 inches, weight 112lbs. Formerly labourer.

Son of David Lowe, 39 Griffin Street, Deptford, Kent.

Home, 21st August 1914 to 31st May 1915; BEF, 1st June 1915 to 6th March 1916; Home, 7th March 1916 to 20th December 1916.

21st August 1914, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 30th August 1914, posted 6th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 24th February 1916, wounded, gun shot wound, left knee; 7th March 1916, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment.

20th December 1916, discharged  as "no longer physically fit for War Service" due to wounds. Silver War Badge issued.  

Pension, 27/6 a week for 2 month, then 12/6 a week for life.
