Private Charles Frederick BRYANT, G/30043, 7th Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, (formerly 14709, R.F.C.), killed in action, Flanders France,  23rd October 1918. 

Born Islington, Middlesex, son of James Harvey Bryant and his wife, (daughter of the late James Morley Howe) of 5 Westminster Road, Edmonton, N.

Educated Eldon Road School, Edmonton, London, N.

9th November 1915, enlisted London. 

11th June 1916,  St Peters, Lower Edmonton, N, Charles Frederick Bryant, age 23, bachelor, HM Forces, 5 Westminster Road, father, James Henry Bryant, deceased, printers cutter, deceased married Dorothy Hope? Green, age 21, spinster, 5 Westminster Road, father, Arthur Mackenzie Green, engineer.

A letter stated: "Your son was taking part in the attack on the enemy position when he was killed by a shell bursting close to him . We buried him at Le Cateau in the British Cemetery.

Buried at  Le Cateau Communal Cemetery, III.C.4., Nord, France. Commemorated South Woodford Congregational Church Memorial Tablet.
