2nd June 1912, St Paul, St Pancras, Camden, Charles Edward Chapman, age 31, bachelor, 3 St Pauls Road, NW, father Edward Chapman, publican, married Mary Ann Martha Farey, age 26, spinster, of 10, ??????? Road, NW, father Arthur Farey, Hay Tier?

Child - Arthur Edward Chapman, born 29th December 1915, Willesden.

Enlisted Harlesden, Middlesex, age 34 years & 321 days, height 5ft 4½ inches.  Resided 132 Chapter Road, Willesden Green, Middlesex.

Home 11th December 1915 to 1st October 1916; BEF 2nd October 1916 to 24th November 1916.

11th December 1915, enlisted; 12th December 1915, to Army Reserve; 8th June 1916, mobilized; 9th June 1916, posted 3/9th,   Middlesex Regiment, Service No.4928; 2nd October 1916, posted, 1/7th Battalion, Middlesex Regiment; 2nd October 1916, Folkestone, embarked; 2nd October 1916, Boulogne, disembarked; 14th October 1916, transferred to 4th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment & posted 7th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 22nd November 1916, Rouen, 11 Stationary Hospital, wounded, gun shot wound right thigh, dangerously ill; 24th November 1916, died of wounds.

9th May 1917, widow living at Fairholme, Lancaster Road, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, later 68, Lancaster Road, Hitchin, Hertfordshire.

11th June 1917, pension of 18/9 a week awarded to widow & one child.

Buried at  St Sever Cemetery Extension, O. II. N. 9., Rouen, Seine-Maritime, France.
