Enlisted Canterbury, Kent, age 19, height 5ft 5 inches. Resided, 28 ½ Tanner Street, Faversham, Kent.

31st May 1915, enlisted & posted 3/1, Royal East Kent Mounted Rifles, 2788; 10th July 1915, posted 2/1, Royal East Kent Mounted Rifle; 21st September 1916, disembarked France; 22nd September 1916, 38 Base Infantry Depot, Etaples; 11th October 1916, transferred to 4th Battalion, Territorial Reserves Royal West Kent Regiment & posted 11th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 14th October 1916, joined 11th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment, in the Field.

6th December 1917, any articles of personal property to be sent to Mrs Emily Spickett, (mother), 28 ½ Tanner Street, Faversham, Kent.

13th September 1919, Statement of Relatives - Father, deceased; Mother, deceased; Brother, John Barker, age 24, c/o The Greyhound, The ???, Faversham, Kent; Form completed by William Spickett, stepfather of 28 ½ Tanner Street, Faversham, Kent.

Commemorated at  Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 45 & 47, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.
