17th November 1903, Parish Church, Fenny Stratford, Buckinghamshire, married Emily Young, spinster, of 137 Harley Road, Harlesden, NW.

Children - Constance Ada Foolkes, born 10th November 1913, Newport Pagnell, Fenny Stratford, Buckinghamshire.


1911 Census - 43 Osborne Street, Bletchley, Buckinghamshire - Alfred Foolkes, head, age 32, married, railway lampman, London & North Western Railway Company, born Fenny Stratford, Buckinghamshire; Emily Foolkes, wife, age 26, married 7 years, 1 child born alive, 1 child died, born Brackley, Northamptonshire; * Charles William Foolkes, son, under one month, born Fenny Stratford, Buckinghamshire.

Enlisted Harlesden, NW, age 38 years & 87 days, height 5ft 5½ inches, weight 130lbs, defective teeth. Resided 137 Harley Road, Harlesden, NW / 204, Hitchin Road, Luton, Bedfordshire.  Formerly labourer.

Separation Allowance of 16/- a week & Allotment of Pay of 3/6 a week payable to wife.

Home, 7th December 1915 to 23rd November 1916; BEF, 24th November 1916 to 7th June 1917.

Commemorated at Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 45 and 47, Belgium.
