Home, 3rd December 1915 to 3rd October 1916; BEF, 4th October 1916 to 5th January 1917; Home, 6th January 1917 to 27th March 1917.

3rd December 1915, enlisted; 4th December 1915, to Army Reserve; 29th May 1916, mobilized & posted 5th Battalion, Royal Fusiliers, 41159; 4th October 1916, posted BEF & transferred to 11th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 4th October 1916, embarked; 5th October 1916, disembarked; 16th October 1916, joined 11th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment in the Field; 6th January 1917, ex 8th General Hospital, Wimereux, acute bronchitis, to England; 6th January 1917, posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 6th March 1917, Edmonton Military Hospital, London.

27th March 1917, discharged  as ""no longer physically fit for War Service" due to sickness Silver War Badge issued. 

Pension 5/- a week for 26 weeks, conditional.
