Enlisted Gravesend, Kent, age 21, height 5ft 9 inches, weight 144lbs. Resided 18, The Creek, Northfleet, Kent. Formerly labourer. Allotment of pay of 6d a week to mother.

Home 9th December 1915 to 18th May 1916; BEF 19th May 1916 to 29th July 1916.

9th December 1915, enlisted; 10th December 1915, to Army Reserve; 21st January 1916, mobilized & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 22nd January 1916, posted 3rd Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 19th May 1916, posted BEF & 1st Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 21st July 1916, Field Ambulance, wounded, gun shot wound, left thigh, compound fracture; 22nd July 1916, to 157 Mobile Ambulance Convoy; 29th July 1916, 1 Stationary Hospital Rouen, died of wounds.
