Lance Serjeant Charles William FOSTER, G/20295, 10th  Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment, died of wounds, (gun shot wounds, right shoulder & back), 64 Casualty Clearing Station, Flanders France, 10th April 1918, age 26.

20th March 1915, enlisted; 24th March 1915, posted "G" Company, 5th Battalion, Middlesex Regiment, Service No.9382; 14th July 1915, appointed unpaid lance Corporal; 11th October 1915, appointed paid Lance Corporal; 1st February 1917, promoted Corporal; 28th October 1917, Infantry Base Depot; 29th October 1917, posted 21st Battalion, Middlesex Regiment; 31st October 1917, transferred to Royal West Kent Regiment & posted 11th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 2nd November 1917, joined Battalion; 22nd November 1917, with Battalion to Italy; 18th February 1918, appointed unpaid Lance Sergeant; 16th March 1918, posted 10th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment.

21st October 1918, date when Separation Allowance of 9/6 a week will cease.
