Born Canterbury, Kent,  son of John & Sarah Crow, (nee Denne), of Canterbury, Kent.

30th August 1905, St Georges Church, Canterbury, Kent, married Florence Lily Gaywood, spinster of 42 Albany Road, Sittingbourne, Kent.

Separation Allowance of #1 4s 6d a week and Allotment of Pay of 3/6 a week paid to wife.

Home 28th November 1915 to 3rd January 1917; BEF 4th January 1917 to 15th June 1917.

28th November 1915, enlisted; 29th November 1915, to Army Reserve; 22nd June 1916, mobilized & posted  Kent Cyclist Battalion 2/1, Service No.2620; 21st August 1916, appointed unpaid Acting Lance Corporal; 3rd January 1917, posted BEF & embarked; 9th February 1917, joined 11th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment, in the Field; 13th June 1917, wounded, multiple wounds when hit by machine gun fire; 15th June 1917, died from wounds, compound fracture face, left elbow, right knee, gun shot wounds, left foot, right elbow, & left first finger.

24th December 1917, pension of 26/3 a week awarded to widow & three children.
