Lance Corporal Daniel Arthur KEMP, G/10268, 10th Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment.

Born 1893, Deptford, Kent, enlisted 16th October 1915, Woolwich, age 22, height 5ft 3 inches, weight 100lbs, resided 4 Dovedale Villas, Long Lane Bexley Heath. Formerly clerk.

Son of Daniel Robert Kemp, 4 Dovedale Villas, Long Lane Bexley Heath.

Postings - Home, 16th October 1915 to 2nd May 1916; BEF, 3rd May 1916; Home 8th December 1918.

Appointed unpaid Lance Corporal, 24th September 1916; appointed paid Lance Corporal 8th October 1916.

Wounded 18th June 1917, gun shot wound right leg, slight:  & 20th September 1917, concussion shell.

Taken Prisoner of War at Vaulse, 23rd March 1918; officially accepted as a Prisoner of War, 6th September 1918; repatriated at Hull, 8th December 1918.

24th February 1919, transferred to Reserve and Demobilized to 4 Dovedale Villas, Long Lane Bexley Heath.

His Majesty the KING  has been graciously pleased to award the Military Medal for bravery in the Field to the under mentioned Non-Commissioned Officers and Men:
