Lance Corporal Alfred Thomas WEBB, G/3094, 8th Battalion, Queens Own Royal West Kent Regiment,  killed in action, Flanders France, death presumed on or after, 26th September 1915.

Born Mitcham, Surrey.

June 1905, joined Great Eastern Railway, Stratford, Locomotive Fireman.

Enlisted Stratford, Essex, age 28, height 5ft 4¾ inches, weight 142lbs, sallow complexion, blue eyes, brown hair, knee scar, left forearm. Resided 17 Fernlea Road, Mitcham, Surrey. Formerly Railway Fireman.

Home 10th September 1914 to 29th August 1915; BEF 30th August 1915 to 26th September 1915.

10th September 1914, enlisted & posted Depot, Royal West Kent Regiment; 12th September 1914, posted 8th Battalion, Royal West Kent Regiment; 3rd November 1914, appointed unpaid  Lance Corporal; 13th November 1914, promoted Lance Corporal; 30th August 1915, posted BEF; 26th September 1915, posted missing.

22nd July 1919, Statement of Relatives - Father, Alfred Webb, dead; Mother, Emma Webb, 17 Fernlea Road, Mitcham, Surrey; Brothers - William Webb, age 29; George Webb, age 23; Frederick Webb, age 22; Bert? Webb, age 19; Leonard Webb, age 15.

Commemorated at Loos Memorial, Panel 95 to 97, Pas de Calais, France.
