1st Battalion War Diary.

Lieut. and Q.M. Harry George Rogers - Brought up rations and hot tea to the trenches under shell and rifle fire between 13th and 19th November 1914, and was highly efficient in the discharge of his duties during the campaign.

The following despatch has been received by the Secretary of State for War from the Field-Marshal Commanding-in-Chief the British Army in France: —

General Headquarters, 30th November, 1915.

In accordance with the last paragraph of my Despatch of the 15th October, 1915, I have the honour to bring to notice the names of those whom I recommend for gallant and distinguished service in the field.

His Majesty the KING has been graciously pleased to approve of the under mentioned Honours and Rewards for distinguished service in the Field, with .effect from 1st January, 1916, inclusive.

To be Lieutenants (Special Promotion). To be granted the next higher rate of pay, under Article 241 of the Royal Warrant.
